Curry Drops 49 in Warriors' Last-Second Win — Watch It Free with UBOX12!

SAN ANTONIO — Stephen Curry delivered a vintage performance on Friday night, scoring a season-high 49 points and lifting the Golden State Warriors to a dramatic 109-108 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in NBA Cup action.
Despite another impressive showing from Victor Wembanyama — who recorded 26 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks in 38 minutes — the Spurs were unable to hold off the Warriors' late-game comeback and dropped to 1-1 in the NBA Cup.
Curry’s clutch gene was on full display, scoring 31 points in the second half alone and knocking down two decisive free throws with just six seconds remaining. He shot 16-of-26 from the field and 9-of-17 from beyond the arc, marking his highest-scoring outing of the season.
The Warriors also swept the two-game showdown in San Antonio, rallying from behind in the fourth quarter in both matchups — a scenario head coach Steve Kerr described as “playoff-like intensity.”
Tempers Flare in a Fiery Fourth Quarter
The game turned physical when Draymond Green and Wembanyama battled fiercely for positioning, requiring officials to intervene three separate times.
Wembanyama even threw down a highlight-reel alley-oop dunk over Green, but it was waved off due to an earlier foul call.
Shortly after, Green picked up his fifth foul and stormed off the court in frustration, shouting at officials as tensions peaked.
